In the Sul de Minas region of Brazil, coffee is grown by farmers from the Cocatrel Direct Trade Cooperative, part of the larger Cocatrel Cooperative group, which was founded in 1961. Our coffee, called Caixa de Fruta, which translates as ‘box of fruit’, comes from a specific area called Carmo da Cachoeira and has been processed using the natural method and dried in ‘static boxes’, i.e. without rotation and with controlled temperature.
