When we reached out to czech illustrator Jaromír 99 back in 2020 with the idea of creating a winter coffee bag design, we had no idea what would come of it. There was no five-year plan, no vision of a collector’s series just a desire to bring a little joy to the colder months.
What started as a single illustration turned into a tradition. A new design every year, a different story every time but always rooted in our family, our roastery, and our home. These bags became gifts under Christmas trees, decoration in kitchens, and for some, even something to frame. And now? We’ve come to the last one.
This winter will be the final time a Jaromír 99 illustration appears on our seasonal coffee bag. To mark the end of this collaboration, we’ve created a special collector’s edition – all five designs together, in one limited set.
What These Winter Bags Meant to Us
Each one carried a different mood, a different memory. One year it was our café at the old rectory in Hukvaldy, another year a snowy walk with our kids. Every image told a real story, authenticity is what matters most to us.
“We wanted people to open their coffee bag and just pause for a moment. To smile, remember something of their own, or simply enjoy having something with soul on the table,” says Marie.
That’s always been the point. Because coffee, for us, is more than just a drink. It’s a moment of calm. A moment with family. A moment when the whole kitchen smells like coffee and snow is falling outside.
The Collector’s Edition
We didn’t want this series to just quietly fade away. So we’ve put together a collector’s edition with all five designs for collectors, for those who remember, or simply for anyone who found their own story in these illustrations.
“It’s a farewell, but a beautiful one. After five years, it’s time to move on. It’s not the end of our work with Jaromír, just the end of this format. But it’s a chapter we wanted to close with care,” says Petr.
