Coffee with a Soul: Why Lalesa Speaks Beyond Words
Sometimes a place touches your heart before you even see it. Sometimes you just know that somewhere far away, something is growing that will change the way you see the world. And sometimes, all it takes is a single touch to start a story.
When we founded Father’s Coffee Roastery, we carried a dream in our hearts. Not of becoming just another roastery lost in the crowd, but of building bridges between worlds. A dream of coffee that tells stories. A dream of coffee that changes lives.
Lalesa is not just the name of a coffee. It is a place. A region in the heart of Gedeb, where one of Ethiopia’s sweetest coffees is born. And when you taste it for the first time, you will understand why it is so special.

The Journey to the Heart of Africa
Gedeb is a place that takes you by the hand and changes you forever. In 2024, thanks to our partner Falcon Coffee, we were able to experience Ethiopia firsthand. Ephtah Specialty Coffee is a community of hundreds of souls who believe that coffee can change lives. At the heart of it all is Wubit, a strong and courageous woman who guided us through every step of the process.
She told us how they employ local women, how they sell their handmade products alongside coffee, and how their children attend school right next to the processing station.
“Do you see this coffee?” Wubit asked, pointing to the trees around us. “This isn’t just a crop. This is our future. The future of our children.”
At that moment, we knew this was not just coffee. This was a living story of hope, written anew every single day.
What Makes Lalesa Magical
The Heirloom variety brings notes of flowers, honey, and juicy fruit. It is processed using the slow-dry natural method, a technique that demands patience, care, and time. Carefully selected cherries are first sorted through washing, removing any defective ones, and then dried for 20 to 25 days on raised beds inside a greenhouse.
This slow, meticulous process creates a complex, sweet, and elegant flavor profile with delicate acidity, layered fruit notes, and a long, clean finish.
When you hold a cup of Lalesa, you hold a piece of Ethiopia. You hold Wubit’s dream. You hold the future of Gedeb’s children. And maybe, just maybe, you hold a piece of your own story too.

He took us through the station and the farms in the surrounding hills, letting us experience every step of the process from harvesting cherries and hand-sorting to washing the coffee.

This journey gave us a profound understanding of Andre’s philosophy and how the local terroir is reflected in the final cup. We are thrilled to bring you a coffee where we’ve witnessed every step of its journey, all the way to our roastery.

  • Temporary tattoos  4.10

These temporary tattoos were born from things we have around us every day.

From coffee, family, the roastery, and ordinary moments that make Father’s what it is.

You’ll find our typical motifs here – Father’s, Mother, the roaster, a cup, dad with mom, and the whole family. Each one is a small reminder that coffee isn’t just a beverage, but also the relationships around it.

The tattoo is designed for short-term use on skin, for children and adults. The product is tested according to European toy safety standards EN 71 and is safe with normal use.

Apply only to clean and intact skin.

Not suitable for children under 3 years.

    Preparation: drip bag

Zebigi isn’t just another specialty coffee. It’s part of a bigger story that we’ve poured a piece of ourselves into. A year ago, we had the chance to be right there in Uganda – to meet the farmers who grow the coffee, to see the process from harvest to drying. And that’s when we realized we wanted to do even more.

Together with The Coffee Gardens, we co-financed the opening of a QC Lab in Uganda. This quality control laboratory enables farmers to evaluate their harvest directly on site, refine their practices, and, as a result, achieve fairer prices.

Every cup of Zebigi is not only about flavor, but also about the future. About giving farmers the tools and knowledge that open doors to better conditions and stability. And that’s exactly why we love returning to Uganda.🤎
