A family project that has long since grown beyond just mom, dad, and the kids. Today, it includes a whole team of people united not only by their love for coffee, but by the same shared values. Openness, reliability, respect, and long-term relationships.
We source exclusively from fresh coffee harvests, focusing on both exceptional flavor and the unique story behind every bean.
How We Roast & Our Technology
We roast on an American Loring S35 hot-air roaster. This technology allows us to approach lighter roast profiles while fully unlocking the true flavor potential of every bean. Our coffees retain pleasant fruity notes and gentle acidity alongside a rich, sweet body. Right after roasting, the beans run through an optical sorter to eliminate quakers (pale beans lacking sugar development) and other defects that could compromise the cup. Every batch is carefully tracked — we log eight critical data points and run multiple quality control checks to ensure absolute consistency and excellence.

We believe that the atmosphere within our team naturally reflects in the quality of everything we send out into the world.
Today, the Father’s team consists of about fourteen full-time members and several part-timers who help us pack coffee at the roastery and work behind the bar at our Prague Store. Each of us has our own role, but we are united by a common goal. We want to do things honestly and with respect for both the coffee and one another. We build on open communication, trust, and collaboration. We believe that the atmosphere within our team naturally reflects in the quality of everything we send out into the world.
At its core, Father’s Store is a place to come together.
Father’s Store in Prague’s Bubeneč neighborhood is a shop filled with coffee packages and our merchandise, but it’s also a place where you can sample coffees from our selection—whether it’s a quick espresso, a bottomless mug of pour-over coffee, or a Father’s or Mother’s tasting set. You can also relax here, perhaps with a cappuccino in a comfortable armchair. Our baristas have time to attend to you, chat, and help you choose coffee to take home.
Since 2023, our mission has grown beyond the roastery doors. By teaming up with partners at origin, we are building projects that make a genuine difference in the daily lives of coffee farmers.
Our first chapter is being written in Uganda alongside The Coffee Gardens. Backed by the Czech Development Agency, we funded the construction of a color sorting station and a quality control lab in the eastern part of the country. This initiative has directly touched the lives of hundreds of local farmers — elevating the quality of their coffee has empowered them to earn higher prices for their crop.
Another story is unfolding in Colombia. In collaboration with the non-profit organization Apunu, operating under the umbrella of the coffee exporter Siruma, we are bringing value back to the growing countries and directly to the farmers. We are helping to provide technology for coffee quality control and supporting the construction of solar dryers, which improve both processing and the sustainability of production.
